Home-Start relocate to Bond's Mill Estate

HomeStartlogoTN.jpgHome-Start Stroud District is happy to be relocating to Bond’s Mill Estate.  We are a charity that supports families throughout the Stroud District and so after 15 years of being based in Stroud, we are hoping that the move to Stonehouse will provide new opportunities for linking with other organisations to support the work that we do with families and to raise funds to make sure we can continue doing so!

Our trained volunteers give emotional and practical help to local families where there is at least one child under five. Support is offered to those parents who may be experiencing difficulties as a result of isolation, post-natal illness, multiple births, disability or lack of parenting experience.  By visiting a family in their own home and offering friendship, Home-Start volunteers represent a lifeline for many families who are finding it hard to cope.  They provide non-judgemental, practical and emotional support and help build the family’s confidence and ability to cope.

Home-Start volunteers come from all walks of life - the only qualification needed is parenting experience – and we are always looking for more volunteers to help us with our work.  All volunteers receive training and on going support and supervision.  So far, Home-Start has helped over 800 families within the Stroud District.
