Finding the right facilities was key when ReConnect Gloucestershire CIC was searching for new offices in the Stroud area.

They found what they were looking for at Bond’s Mill, Stonehouse, owned by investor developer Robert Hitchins Ltd.

The Care in the Community organisation provides support for people affected by long-term health conditions such as strokes and aphasia. Its volunteers run groups, and visit people who are in hospital or isolated at home by a health condition.

They also offer on-line Creative Wellbeing Groups for people to benefit without leaving home.

“We struggled for months to find suitable office space – nothing seemed to tick an ‘accessible’ box. Bond’s Mill has a lift and fully accessible café, meeting rooms, toilets and showers so we were very excited to find it and are settling in very well. Everyone has been so helpful and friendly along the way,” said ReConnect Director Coryn Memory.

Bond’s Mill sits on the A419 near Stroud, alongside the Stroudwater Canal and River Frome in a mix of refurbished Victorian mill buildings and modern commercial premises.

Robert Hitchins’ Asset and Administration Manager at Bond’s Mill, Helen Hawke, welcomed the new tenants.  “We are delighted that ReConnect have joined other caring organisations occupying suites on the first floor of our main mill building,” she said.

The agent was John Hawkins of Hawkins Watton, Stroud.
